In these tumultuous time of the COVID 19 global pandemic, there are 4 considerations: 1) Possibility to do business while doing good and helping the climate ; 2) Mental Health is directly linked to global economy ; 3) Changing landscape of the business world post COVID-19 ; and 4) Bending the focus of frontier technologies towards humanity.

Pratik Gauri has been addressing these issues for over a decade now. Gauri is an award winning 29-year old Indian serial social entrepreneur who was awarded Creative Entrepreneur of the year – Startup by Entrepreneur India in their 10th Annual awards for entrepreneurship and startups in July 2020 for creating the 5th Industrial Revolution.

What is the 5th Industrial Revolution? “When you work at the intersection of profits and impact, you generate more profits”, writes Pratik in an article for Thrive Global. “If you use technologies created in 4th Industrial Revolution like Artificial Intelligence, 3D Printing, Blockchain to create a positive impact on humanity, you can make crazy profits”, says Pratik.

Pratik serves as the India President of 5th Element Group, a global impact management consultancy. He took Harpic’s Mission Paani endorsed by Amitabh Bacchhan to World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2020. “Harpic mobilised capital towards water conservation through Mission Paani, but this activation also amplified Brand Warmth of Harpic”, says Gauri.

29-year old impact entrepreneur certainly has proven that one can do more profitable business while doing good, which will be the new “business as usual” post COVID-19. He also serves on the board of 6 impact companies across Asia / USA / Europe with turnover in multiple crores and valuation running into hundreds of crores. And all his companies are helping make the world better as they are helping achieve United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Who says one can’t work at the intersection of profits and impact ?

Gauri is also enlisted in the prestigious Greenbiz 30 Under 30 list, was named a British Petroleum Scholar, an Ambassador by One Young World, Climate Leader trained by former US Vice President Al Gore, and Asia’s top 50 voices by Earth Day Network.

Not only is he building purpose-driven companies through his entrepreneurship skills, Pratik is also raising awareness about “Using business as a force for good” through his public speeches. His speeches focus on “5th Industrial Revolution” and are widely watched. Being a global youth icon and a social media influencer, his verified facebook page has more than 100,000 followers.

When asked about his working hours, Gauri says, “I work every waking hour”. When asked about his life’s mission, the 29-year-old says, “I want to positively impact more than 1 billion people through my initiatives and companies”.
